Tom WIP 4

Oh and I actually reworked Tom's face a bit more before starting that topology

Tom Topology 1

So... Topology... I... Do not like it. At all.

Anyway, for my topology, I started using the topology tools in Zbrush, because they're the tools I have the most familiarity with, but not enough to be comfortable with them. So that's why I decided to use them - practice and such, and wasn't sure if I could really get accustomed to NEX in such a short period.

Sooooo after a good work period, this is what I got done in Zbrush for my topology:

I had Dave look at it this morning and he showed me the basics of NEX tools, so we fiddled with that a little:

However, Dave told me just to use the base mesh from the sculpt - he says he wants me to work more on realistic sculpting than spending more time finishing the topology. The topology on the base mesh isn't the best, but he said it also isn't horrible, so... I'm probably going to just use that...

As a side note... I ended up dreaming about having to re-toplogize this... I'm not really fond of that :I

Tom WIP 3

Worked on Tom some today, based off the list of stuff I got from critique. It might need a bit more messing around, but I might start with the re-topology later this week.

Tom WIP 2

A little update for Mr. Hiddleston for today.

Hugo Weaving Exercise 1

Wasted some time this morning and sculpted a quick WIP Hugo Weaving head thing just... cause Hugo Weaving.

Tom WIP 1

Some WIP shots for Assignment 2 - sculpting a male head between the ages 25-40. We had a choice to make something up or do a likeness. Seeing as I'm taking this class to help improve my abilities to sculpt more realistic things, I was afraid making something up would wind up too cartoony in the end. Soooooo we're doing a likeness - of Tom Hiddleston

Above is a screenshot of some of the references I had when working on this.

And here is some screens of the WIP sculpt. Looking at them now, there are some things that definitely need tweaking, but I think I may have gone a tad further than I was supposed to on this...? I'm not sure, but I'm taking a break for now.

Skull WIP 3

Hahahaha... Moved on to muscles and... this is a bit unnerving, haha.

All these pictures of facial muscles are making me a tad squeamish, too.

Skull WIP 2

Update on the skull. Also added a bit of the spinal column, the sternum, and the clavicles.

I'm really trying to keep myself from attempting the ribcage, as I do love ribcages, but I'm tempting to maybe do the first set of ribs in order to connect the sternum to the spinal column, just because I don't want a floating sternum and clavicles.
